PAWS UP! to Mountainair and Artist Dee Melaragno

Mountainair has a wonderful art gallery, Cibola Arts, that Mom & Dad flipped over. Check out the paintings they bought and you’ll see why!

These paintings are by artist Dee Melaragno who is also a dog lover – can’t you tell? Her inspiration comes from her own two pooches – Patch and Lucy.

But, Dee’s love of animals extends way beyond her own home and work – she and her husband took on the task of helping raise funds so that Mountainair could have a proper shelter for stray dogs and cats while they look for their forever homes! PAWS UP! to Dee, her husband and the Town of Mountainair!

Here is Mountainair's current shelter.

We loved the town of Mountainair so much that we would like to help them raise money for the new shelter, too. We’ll be putting our heads together to come up with some fundraising ideas and we’ll be sure to let you know about them. In the meantime, if you would like to help the stray animals of Mountainair have a better place to stay, check out these links:

Be sure to check out http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/ and vote for Town of Mountainair Animal Shelter, New Mexico. It's free!

If you, too, fell in love with Dee’s artwork (she paints more than puppies!), you can get more info at Cibola Arts http://www.cibolaarts.com/deemelaragno.htm.

Stay tuned for more opportunities to help Mountainair’s new shelter for animals who are making a pitstop on their way to new homes! There might even be an opportunity or two for you to score something cool!
