We're hittin' the open road.
So - after this . . .
And this . . .
And this . . .
And this . . .
Oops! Did we run out of road?
Think we'll need the four-wheel drive . . .
Definitely - the four-wheel drive . . .
We finally arrived here - the little town of Lander, Wyoming.
At last, some furiendly faces!
Here's our campsite for the night - nestled in the Wind River Mountains at Sinks Canyon State Park -
And overlooking this - Can you see that river? It's the Popo Agie River and it's moving FAST! You can't tell from the picture, but it's too fast and too cold for us to play in. Read more about it here 'cause it's kinda interesting. They don't call it Sinks Canyon for nuthin'. http://wyoparks.state.wy.us/Site/Brochure/SinksCanyon.pdf
It was super windy the night we stayed. The camp host told us that it had snowed over 3 feet the week before we got here! Mom doesn't really like the wind that much, or snow. So, she was glad to head out the next morning. BUT - would it be even colder up the road?
Stay tuned . . .

I love seeing your journey. There are so many places I've never been, and I'm curious about, so it's nice to see it on your blog.
Big sky, lots of nature. Just a little intimidating to some of us east coasters. Will be looking for the next installment.
