Kayla is a Cover Girl

Hey everyone! We're very excited for Kayla - she was voted in the Top Ten over at Trendy Treehouse's Shutter Love Tuesdays ("Smiles Theme") by Judge Melanie of Going Green with Noah! If you like taking pictures as much as we do - go to Trendy Treehouse on Tuesdays and post your favorite photos! (They have lots of other cool stuff going on over there, too!) Click on the Trendy Treehouse button to see this week's winners!

And if you're wanting to become more eco-friendly (which we totally are!), visit Melanie's blog Going Green with Noah for lots of most excellent tips. Noah is Melanie's adorable (human) baby so if you have one of those, you should absolutely check out her blog for lots of cool info. But we still found lots of great tips that we can use, too! We especially love the fruits and veggies guide to buying organic. Go visit Melanie and Noah here -

Thanks Trendy Treehouse and Judge Melanie! Hmmm, hope we all get a treat to celebrate - preferably a raw meaty bone! Is anyone listening?

And thanks to Alison, Bru and Max at Welcome Home Sunshine for letting us know about Kayla's Top Ten win! We've been very forgetful this week and can use a lot of reminding! Visit their blog for tons of creative inspiration and fun! They live in Maine, which we have not yet visited, but it looks fabulous!

Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. You guys are so cool! I love car rides and adventures, so I would love to go on a road trip like you guys are on. If you ever make it to Maine, my home state (like the Welcome Home Sunshine Gang) give me a shout-out so I can show you around my home town, Rockland.

Cowtailsandchewtoys - We're gonna have to put Maine on our list! It looks beautiful from photos we've seen and would probably be a great place to escape the summer heat in SC!

Hi! Thanks for your nice comments. You guys are such sweeties. :)

We visited Rockland on a whim last August (our first ever visit) and it happened to be during their big lobster festival. You should take your mom and dad there because they'd love it and the coastal towns are very friendly to pups. If you guys ever come through Portland, Bru will share her water bowl (watch out for slobber!) and her favorite doggie park. Max doesn't like to share but I bet he'd make an exception for you. :)
