Kenny at the Keyboard
Kenny is the star of LOL Doxie. His Mom may write some of the blog posts, but they are ALL inspired by Kenny (and his new sister, Ginger). We assume he will be sharing the spotlight with Ginger on occasion - 'cause he's that kind of guy. Kenny and his Mom love handcrafted art, especially dachshund art. So they did a post today about Mom's Doxie jewelry HERE.
Mom was super thrilled to be featured on Kenny's blog and to share her inspiration with some new furiends. If you have a minute, stop by and say "HI" to Kenny. He loves to meet new furiends! Be sure to check out all the adorable Doxie photos and videos.
Since Kenny was kind enough to feature Mom's work, we would like to share another of his artist finds with you. His name is Glen Hettrick and he is owned by two doxies Bitey and Porkchop.
He is a super-talented guy and paints a wide variety of subjects ~ pets portraits, of course, but also farm animals and scenes, movie stars, you name it ~ with a folk art flair. Click HERE for more links and info about Glen's work. You'll be glad you did! Remember, Father's Day is just around the corner. Wouldn't your Dad or Grandad or any guy in your family love a little portrait of YOU?!

I love how the pooches are looking at, and even licking, their own photos.
P.S. And we would love to hear about your road travels for our Dog Tourist contest.
Once we sell our place and get settled in our new house (if that ever happens), we want a portrait made of Toonces, mom's favorite kitty who passed away a couple of years ago. There are so many wonderful pet portrait painters out there - not sure how we will ever choose!
Your pal, Pip
Now that's major art...I likes me that stuff!

Have a good week
