Okay. So he's a Rat Terrier, not a huge rodent.
His name is Digby and he's an adorable cutie patootie. At least that's what Mom kept saying. She took all these pictures, so get ready for some cute overload! We should probably be a bit jealous since he got to ride in our truck with Mom and Dad and they left us at home! Yeah, really, we know! But, we got over it when we found out Digby was heading to his new furever home.
Here's the story - On MayzieGal's blog, we read about Ratbones Rescue needing help transporting a pup through South Carolina to his new home. If you read Mayzie's blog, you probably know her brother Ranger came from Ratbones. We live in SC, so, we thought: Mom & Dad can do that! Of course, we didn't really think it through before we mentioned it to them. For one thing, we had no idea we would be left at home 'cause you know we love a road trip! But, in hindsight, it was probably better not to torment the little guy with all of us at once!
Mom contacted Ratbones and it was all set up that they would do a leg of the trip. The schedule was emailed with all the contact info. All Mom had to was contact the person bringing Digby to our town and the person they were taking him TO - which turned out to be his new Mom & Dad!
Amy brought Digby to our town for the next leg of his Ratbone Relay.
"All right, lady, I said one picture. Let's get this show on the road."
Digby - looking contemplative.
Didja get that?
Digby with his new Mom & Dad
Hmmm, treats - for me?
Oh, YEAH, I like these folks!

PeeS. You said he's a fox terrier but isn't he a rat terrier?
I think this is such a lovely idea and hurray for your Mom and Dad for doing this! I hate to say this, but I may have to take advantage of something like this, when I no longer can take care of my dear Jack and Jill - IF anybody would take them. They are kind of spoiled, don't you know.

PeeS Everyone - Just to set the record straight - Digby is a Rat Terrier. We first put Rat, then changed to Fox, but we have it on good authority that he's a Rat, so we changed it back!

That is a nice thing to do. Sorry you had to be left at home, but it is important for that little guy to get to his furever home.

OMD, what a wonderful thing for you to let your parents do. I mean, you sacrificed your time with them so another doggy could get to his new home. That is so wonderful, and you found out about the need through Mayzie. Another great thing coming out of our little blogoverse. This is making my tail wag like crazy. Also, your folks got to do the best leg of the trip, right? Delivering the little guy to his waiting humans must be the most fun part. Just wonderful...
lotsa licks, Lola
That's great that Digby found a furever home! He looks like he'll have a great time with his new mommy and daddy! I know what it's like to be waiting for that special family :)
And I am sure leaving you behind was a one time thing.

That was so great of your humans (and you for giving up some attention time) to help Digby and his future family out! They deserve a whole bouquet of bully sticks. Digby too, mostly because he looks like my best dog friend, Leo.
