Tim's Ford State Park Stop and Play

Today was an excellent play day, which isn't always easy when you're a pack of five dogs on the road with a couple of humans. [Not exactly sure if it's us or Mom and Dad that are the issue, but we can't imagine that it's us. But don't tell Mom and Dad.] In addition to the Rock/Creek stop and play, we got to stop and play at Tims Ford State Park in Winchester, TN. It was a really nice, quiet place way off the beaten path. They have really strict rules that we have to stay on leashes, so we just walked around and sniffed and peed - and stayed on our leashes - cause we always obey the rules - and Dad didn't once throw the ball for us to fetch - cause we always obey the rules.

See that tree? No, not that skinny one - the big one over there. I peed on that tree! ~Taz

Clovis of Rock Creek

We sniffed out a great place to play this morning in Benton, TN. It's called Rock/Creek http://www.rockcreek.com/ and they sell all kinds of cool stuff for outdoor fun like kayaking and camping and hiking. And we like all those things - although we usually just jump in the water without a kayak! We met Clovis who runs the place and he greeted us with open paws. He said Dad could park the trailer in their big parking lot and we could run and play in the field. He even joined us for a game of fetch. We're giving a big PAWS UP to Rock/Creek and Clovis. If you're in the Ocoee River/Benton area, stop by and see Clovis and tell him the guys from Road Dog Tales said Hi!

May I help you?

Rock/Creek has cool stuff for all your outdoor fun!

First Day on the Road

This was the first official day on the road, not to mention the first time ever for Dad to pull the food hauler behind us. The day ended with the food hauler mostly in one piece. Now, we're not tattle tails or anything so we'll just say that someone had a close encounter with a tree growing out of the side of the mountain somewhere in Tennesee. The only damage was to the pull-out shade thingy. Unless you count the blinds that got mangled because someone didn't latch a window really good and they were blowing out the window. But we didn't really need those things anyway. At least that's what Dad says.

Oops! How did that happen?!

Patiently waiting while Dad fixes the roll-up shade thingy.

Ta-da! All fixed. Can we go already?!

We were kind of bored today 'cause it was just mainly driving, driving, driving. But, we stopped at a nice Days Inn in Murphy, TN that was pet friendly. We're just kind of following our noses and don't have a real plan mapped out, so we haven't been able to find any really good campsiteswhen it's time to stop for the night. Dad says when we get further West, there will be more places to camp. Mom and Kayla and Taz stayed in the motel room and watched TV and us big guys stayed in trailer to guard the food. Dad says we're ruffing it.

Road Trip!

Is there anything better than a road trip? All the new sights to see, the new smells to sniff, the new trees to pee. Nope, nothing better in the world, unless . . .

it's a road trip with a big box of food and beds following you every mile of the way! They call it a "toy hauler" but we have something a little different in mind.

We're traveling across the country with our mom and dad (cause they have to do the driving!) and the rest of our dog family. We'll be taking pics and videos of cool stuff we see and do. I hope we can figure out how to work the *!#? camcorder without opposable thumbs! Stay tuned!
