We had hoped we would be doing a happy dance today, instead we're blowing raspberries! Back in July, we did a post on David Tant (breeder of fighting dogs) who was requesting parole. Sad to say, he received parole yesterday after serving less than 6 years of his 30-year sentence, which had been reduced from an original 40-year sentence. We're bummed! Especially after all the signatures on the petition - 7000 signatures collected AGAINST parole and only 24 in favor of parole. I guess our signatures had no influence on the the people making the decision :(

Im sorry to hear the bad news, I actually signed that petition due to you bringing it to my attention.
Thanks for the update even if it wasnt what I wanted to happen, so frustrating! 7000 signatures is awesome though.
I just hope somebody keeps a close eye on Mr. Tant!
That is an outrage that David Tant got paroled! Why on earth would that awful man get paroled after all of the terrible things he has done is beyond me! GRRRR!
I will take a look at Pip's modeling outfits and go visit Luna....thanks for the update!

I agree with Noah. We are lucky he got the 6 years that he did the way the system works. Hope someone keeps watch on him, so it doesn't happen again. I too signed the petition, thanks for letting us know about it. 7,000 is still 7,000 strong.
Inhumane & horrible that this so-called human is back to roam the streets.

What be's disturbing to me is dat da maintence dude(whatever he did...phone guy? cable man?)had no problems with Tant being released... I thinks you know what i'm talking bout...as long as dat dude got his $$$$$$$ from Tant he could've cared less! That makes da Puddles MAD!

Someday I hope that people understand that the way we allow people to treat our children and animals not only reflects upon us as a society, but also shapes the society we live in. It's a very disappointing decision, but it's not that surprising. We let rapists and murderers out all the time, and people are always surprised when they offend again. We need a new respect for life of all kinds in our society.
It is terrible that he got out... EVER... and sepecially so since he got out EARLY.
